What's Your Typical EVC Ship Progression?

When playing EV Classic, what ships do you typically buy, in what order?

When I do play EVC, it's often something like Shuttle -> Scoutship -> Argosy -> Corvette -> ...

My first time playing EVC I think I went from shuttle to courier, to clipper, to corvette, to Kestrel. Lately I’d skip the courier or substitute a scoutship. And the last time I played EVC I stopped at Corvette, because I realized capital ships weren’t using torpedoes. And I was able to cheese the alien cruiser.

Shuttle -> Scoutship -> Courier -> Argosy -> Corvette -> Kestrel -> Rebel Destroyer

The Kestrel is essential for capturing fighters to make enough money to buy endgame ships.

Shuttle -> Clipper -> Argosy -> Corvette -> Kestrel, typically.

Sometimes I would do the Courier instead of the Clipper, though.

WarlordMike The courier is good for loading up on a lot of missions or cargo. People underestimate it but it's a great ship for making the money needed to get the Argosy.
