New versions of "Brotherhood of the Kestrel," "Heart of Darkness," and "Realm of Prey" are available
I'm happy to make an initial release of my updated versions of these ports of Tim Isles' classic plugins. Changes:
Brotherhood of the Kestrel:
- Consolidated data files
- Added chär resources so that the player can choose to play just the content for Empire of Crime or Brotherhood of the Kestrel, or both. This enabled...
- Separate intro cutscenes for both classic plugins. The texts for both were ultimately very similar, so I gave them the same music.
Heart of Darkness:
- Updated base data files to Guy's port of EV Classic for Nova.
- Consolidated data files
- Intro cutscene with music.
- Fixed bug with the shield booster outfit not correctly porting to the Nova engine.
- Added an explosion mod I made years ago as two plugins (pick one). This was originally a patch to fix explosions for the Port Authority port of EV Classic, but became a little more fun as I added different color explosions for different factions' weapons fire and ships, and bigger explosions for boss ships.
- Added a brand new short mission string in the form of the plug-in "Geek's Missions," that adds some fun outfits to the game, and provides a final combat challenge that may be quite difficult if attempted early game. Please enjoy.
Realm of Prey:
- Updated base data files to Guy's port of EV Classic for Nova.

- Intro cutscene with music.

All plugins are available from my collection (check Resources), and soon ev dot games.
Further updates are possible, like perhaps added ship variants to Realm of Prey, or if a method to reduce stuttering in the cutscenes is found, update those. With time. I'm just happy to get this basically finished.
