Was/is anyone else sad there is no class E pirate starbridge?

like seriously, was anyone else particularly disappointed that there wasnt a super late game option for the classy black pirate bridge? Im mostly a Valk guy myself but pirate starbirdge just has that... something special about its vibe for me. Like I know its kinda hard to outdo the sheer speed and firepower of the class E mod bridge, but even then the rebel class E was tanky for a ship of its size.

For one thing the pirate ships were numbered, not lettered, so I think they were not copying the rebels specifically, but building from civilian models. And the class IV was devastating enough to carry a decent player through any endgame.

Geek the pirate starbridge is lettered, not numbered, like its civilian basis. And sure the class IV is known and feared for a reason, but the class D pirate bridge just isnt on the same level despite also having ion cannons.

Whoops confused the Valkyrie and starbridge lol. After a certain rank their stats are too similar. But I think I do remember correctly the rebels add one extra class you don’t find among civvie or pirate versions

Geek the porblem with the pirate bridge D is lack of speed and lack of tonnage space compared to the rebel and civvie mod class Es, the main reason to get a pirate D is for the ion cannons, but at that point just get a class IV. And yeah there are 2 class C rebel bridges, but we are talking about the highest end stuff here.

NeoLuna22 also I just checked the fandom page, turns out I was wrong in my OG post, the rebel bridge actuly has more space then the mod, but the mod has better HP, shields, and speed.

Given that the Pirates were geographically close to the Rebels, I guess it would make a bit of sense lore-wise that pirates would have tried to steal and further tune up some modbridges from the Rebels. The Pirate Starbridge definitely has great aesthetics, but it's hard for me to ponder what place you could have taken it in its close-mid range bruiser role that exceeded what the Class D had with its EMP torps, Hellhounds, and an Ion Cannon. Point defense? More speed but with poor acceleration? It does make me think, and want to see what Five tried to do with the hull in White Dwarf...

Tervia first, rip out of the EMP torps, not worth the trouble or tonnage, doubly so when you have ion cannons, and then replace them with some 100mm railguns or whatever you can fit alongside the needed engine upgrade and power gen. Really the porblem with the pirate bridge D is that its slower, less durable, and has less tonnage space then its competitors.
