How to play Ares in the modern era

So I don't currently possess a Mac, but when I did have one, I used to play Ares on Mac OS X using Antares, the port of the game for 10.7+:

I notice that they offer a Linux port too, so I might have to try that at some point.

Don't let this game die! The sound, world building and music are just too good to be forgotten.

I correct myself, there is an Antares port for Windows in the works and you can grab it from their Github.
